A long time follower of mine on Facebook messaged me yesterday and asked if I could come and photograph her Daughters Christening. How could I say no? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Church for the Christening was the  St Mary the Virgin Torquay<\/a> in St Marychurch, Torquay. There was a lot of flooding on the roads because of the most recent storm, so I set off really, really early to make sure there would be no problems getting there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I arrived I said hello to those already there and took some time to get detail shots inside the church. As more people arrived I switched to my portrait lens and started taking their portraits. I shot wide open to keep the ISO below 1000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The church is an amazing building but the colours inside were not ideal. Photos had a lot of yellow tint in them. When I got home I created a new preset for this shoot, to remove the yellow, lighten the inside and give the photos a more natural colour. I achieved this by changing the HSL, the Split Toning and the calibration colours. I have a feeling I’ll be using this preset more as I love the colours it produces…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
