In this case, I had a model and we went down to Torquay seafront and harbourside for some more active and energetic poses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/purpleport.com\/portfolio\/paigeamelia25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Paige<\/a> is an incredible model and she mentioned if it was possible to have another session with more movement and energy. I was very happy to oblige. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We met by <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/8CEPViUY6tHTHaGw8\" target=\"_blank\">Pier Point in Torquay<\/a> an hour before sunset. I knew I wanted to shoot through into blue hour so I had a huge diffuser for the sun shots, switching to a strobe light for the night shots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the photos. The whites and leading lines make it a really interesting location and the golden light can really compliment the scene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was keen to steer away from the typical snapshot photos you see of the marina. My favourite photo was by the ramp leading down to the section where <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/torbayfishing.com\/guide-princess-pier.htm\" target=\"_blank\">people fish<\/a> and catch ferries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We then moved to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.englishriviera.co.uk\/things-to-do\/princess-gardens-torquay-p243913\" target=\"_blank\">Princess Gardens<\/a> and shot a few photos in and around the gardens. A short walk from there is the footbridge over Torquay Harbour as well as <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/historicengland.org.uk\/services-skills\/education\/educational-images\/halden-pier-torquay-5196\" target=\"_blank\">Haldon Pier<\/a>. Both these spots are good at sunset but at this time of year, Haldon Pier is the perfect place to catch the sun as it sets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both locations are near each other and the sun was quickly going down so I took my last few natural light shots before switching to strobe lighting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paige really wanted some shots by the clock tower. At this point, the sun was down so out came my strobe and attached this time was a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/B01HEXD2WS\/\" target=\"_blank\">small 7 inch round reflector<\/a> that I&#8217;d just purchased from Amazon. I was quite surprised at just how soft the light was. The reflector that came with the AD600 pro was a lot harsher but almost the same size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We took a few shots there before moving to the steps at Rock Walk that glow blue at night. I took a similar shot to this on my last shoot here but this time I wanted a portrait shot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final location was the restaurants by Torquay seafront.
