Two of my recent couples have said I must say on this page what I'm like on the day and how I make them all feel. So, here we go...
As a wedding photographer, I believe I have the best job in the world. I love capturing the magic and joy of such a special day, and it shows in every photo I take. I spend the entire day joking and laughing with guests, making sure everyone feels comfortable and relaxed. My enthusiasm is contagious, and I never stop smiling because I genuinely love what I do.
My favorite moments to capture are the natural, candid smiles that happen when people aren't aware of the camera. These genuine expressions are the heart and soul of my work, and they make up the majority of the photos I take. It's these fleeting, beautiful moments that tell the true story of your wedding day.
With five years of experience and over 100 weddings under my belt, I’ve honed my skills and developed a keen eye for detail. I use my lighting skills to make every photo pop and I've developed my own editing routines. All combined, this gives me my own unique style! Each wedding is special, and I've loved every minute of every wedding I've had the privilege to shoot!

We had Simon and his son shoot our wedding at Upton Barn in July 2024. Despite us living overseas he couldn’t have been more helpful. Organising calls and fantastic response time with email communication made the planning process so smooth, answering every request. He made us feel at ease throughout the whole planning process and was very thorough with details. He was so accommodating with every request we made and helped our day become so personalised. You'll have a handful of (teaser) photos within 12-48 hours.
If you have a June-August Wedding, your photos will be ready within one to two weeks.
Smaller weddings and out-of-season weddings will have their photos delivered within one week.
I spend up to 10 hours a day editing because I really enjoy the editing process. I also limit the amount of weddings I take on each year. This is why you don't wait weeks or months for your photos, compared to most other wedding photographers!
I use lighting more and more at weddings so I have much greater lighting control in all scenarios. This is what separates me from natural light only photographers. This is why the lighting on the wedding couple and guests looks so good.
Camera phones are getting really good but they still struggle on certain parts of your special day, as the photo below shows. I want you to be able to print as large as you need. I want your ceremony shots to be as sharp and as least grainy as possible. I want you to have the best photo quality possible. What I want most of all is for your photos to outshine every other persons snap-shot photos on their phones.
Here is a recent wedding and a clear example of why camera phones are not enough...

I cannot secure your date without a small deposit and signed contract. If you know I am the only wedding photographer you want, I would suggest securing the date as soon as possible. Two thirds of couples book me before meeting up. I would strongly suggest that we have two meetings, either in person or zoom. The first is to get to know each other. The other will be a month before your wedding day to finalise the details. These meetings will help the photos look more natural because you'll know me and my cheery temperament before your big day.
