Whether you love it or hate it there is no getting away from Pokemon GO. My kids love it and we go out quite often catching Pokemon so here are the best places for PokeStops, Lured PokeStops and where you stand the best chances of catching certain Pokemon…
Best PokeStop location in Torquay
In Torquay the absolute best place to be is by Living coasts down on the harbour. Most of the time all the PokeStops have lures running and they are very close together as you can see here…
Where I’m standing in the above image you can see that I can reach all 3 PokeStops at the same time. I took this screenshot early morning and even then 2 of them had lures. During the day and evening it isn’t unusual for them ALL to have lures on them.
Best PokeStop location In Paignton
The best spot for lured PokeStops is by the GeoPark on the seafront as this images shows…
In the above image I’m standing on the green and these Pokestops nearly always have lures running. By the Geo Park you can stand in-between two and this is where I find the most rares.
Best places for rare Pokemon in Torquay and Paignton
I suppose I better start with a good one… Pikachu
I have seen quite a few Pikachu in and around the GeoPark in Paignton. While I wouldn’t call it a nest they do appear semi-often. All the Pikachu I’ve collected above have been in and around the GeoPark. I haven’t seen them anywhere else but here!
I can even narrow that down further for you… I’ve ONLY seen the Pikachu’s by the GeoPark and by Paignton Pier.
Other Pokemon I’ve caught around the GeoPark are:
Common
- Drowzee
- Krabby
- Magikarp
- Magnemite
- Paras
- Poliwag
- Psyduck
- Tentacruel
Semi-Common
- Seel
- Nidoran
- Squirtle
- Staryu
- Bellsprout
Rarer but are seen
- Exeggcute
- Mr. Mime
- Pikachu
- Ponyta
Update:
I wrote this post this morning and when I went to the Geo Park this evening I got another one 🙂
Magikarp hotspots
The one I wanted more than any other was Gyarados and I searched everywhere for the best spots. Since I posted this I now have three Gyarados so far and I’m well on my way to my fourth…
I have found the best places for Magikarp is walking between Paignton seafront and the gasworks past Preston. You do find them in Torquay along the seafront but they are not in the same numbers.
I also tried walking from the GeoPark in Paignton to Goodrington and again, there were a few but not in the same numbers.
Mr. Mime
I caught this allusive pokemon on Paignton Green in-between the Geo park and the crazy golf course.
I have a pretty good collection now. If you have questions or comments send me a Tweet on my Twitter account.
