If you were wondering what was there to do at the Torquay Christmas Carnival, there is actually more than you think! The fun, games and activities start long before the Christmas light switch on and carnival. Here is a photo guide to what was happening before and during the bit switch on…
I arrived around 11am and it was already busy with things to do. The main stage area was being set-up but all around were activities going on.
Below the main stage, there was face painting, which was HUGELY popular! She was there for several hours face-painting so many children…
Then There were three from the Masked Marvels team who created a lot of laughs, smiles and entertainment to the people around them. Given the clear day but cold temperatures, I was thankful that I had a few layers on to keep me warm. Jack, A.K.A. Spiderman, must have been freezing…
The kids were loving the Masked Marvels. Some face-painted spiderman, Some even knew that Spiderman and Deadpool would be there so they dressed for the occasion. Spiderman and Deadpool were SERIOUSLY impressed with these two and it made for a lovely photo…
The shops in Fleet walk were also embracing the spirit of the Christmas Carnival. Lots were wearing festive attire and were smiling and enjoying the day as well…
There were lots of characters around, including olaf elsa and anna from Frozen. They were very popular with the kids…
Upstairs, there was Santa’s Grotto, a room to make your own Christmas decorations and also this giant, inflatable snow globe… which did get taken over for a short while by Three certain individuals 🙂
There was lots of lovely live music for the afternoon…
By the time the turning on of the lights arrived Fleet walk was packed with crowds waiting for the lights to switch on…
And then the Torquay Christmas Carnival arrived in all its glory…
If you’ve never been to the Christmas Carnival before I highly recommend it and there is plenty to do during the build-up!
