Torquay has some truly beautiful places for a photoshoot and for me, there is nowhere better than the areas around Rock walk gardens. With the location set and model arranged, let’s see how a late afternoon photoshoot got on…
Jemma wanted some photos for her portfolio. Because of the current restrictions, an indoor photoshoot wouldn’t be possible but an on-location shoot was fine.
The Royal Terrace Gardens (More commonly known as Rock Walk) is a beautiful part of Torquay with a real mediterranean feel. During the summer months we have the big wheel and just across the road is Princess pier.
I met Jemma at Rock walk. She was accompanied by her partner Luke, who did an amazing job assisting me with my lighting.
We both wanted different looks and feels so I shot with a variety of lenses.
During the shoot I noticed the sun was hitting the yellow leaves of a palm tree. By putting the lens up against the leaves, it created the two amazing sun flare looking photos you see below.
