The weather forecast and wedding photography have a funny relationship. More often than not, the forecast predicts doom and gloom, and couples spend the week leading up to their wedding nervously refreshing weather apps every few hours. This wedding at the beautiful Osborne Hotel in Torquay was another perfect example of why I always tell couples not to panic.

This wedding took place at the very end of November, but so close to December that all the Christmas decorations were already up. That always changes the feel of a wedding day in the best possible way. Soft lights, Christmas trees, warm colours and that cosy atmosphere that only comes around once a year.

Lorna and Ryan chose one of the most stunning spots in Torquay for their big day, the Osborne Hotel. Set above Meadfoot Bay with views across to Thatcher Rock, it was the perfect backdrop for a summer wedding. August delivered exactly what you’d hope for, a hot, warm day filled with blue skies and colour everywhere. The flowers lining the pathway down to the wooden marquee were bursting with life and made for a spectacular entrance to the ceremony.
