If you love being by the sea and you are looking for a wedding venue, you can’t go wrong with the Salcombe Harbour Hotel and Spa. Stephanie and Nick had an amazing wedding day and here is how your wedding day at the Salcombe Hotel could look…
The roads down to the Hotel are small and winding. You can tell you’re going back in time, but as you pull into the Salcombe Harbour Hotel & Spa, all that changes in a good way. The hotel is clean, modern and you know you’ve entered a place where you’ll be taken care of.
I was there to photograph the Bridal Prep, Wedding Ceremony, Formals and Wedding Reception. There were still a lot of restrictions so I had to be more creative so their wedding photos were not full of people wearing masks. Let’s take a look at some of the photos from their wedding day…
How your wedding day would be laid out at the hotel
The hotel secured off a section of the outside area so the wedding party had the main room and also a large section of the outside area. An enclosed section of seating behind the bar area was also closed off in case it had been raining. The staff were super friendly. You’ll need to hand in your car keys once you arrive. The car park is small and tight so the staff may need to move cars around so no-one is stuck.
My camera equipment for the wedding day
2 x Sony A9’s
1 x 24mm f1.4
1 x 85mm f1.4
1 x Godox AD600 Pro
1x Godox V1
I use the Godox V1 on the 24mm just to light up any areas of any room(s) that need a bit more fill light. The ceremony/reception room has some banding issues by the main entrance into the ceremony room so I used flash to make sure that wasn’t a problem.
