This was a quick tour around the Music on the Meadows event yesterday. I went to photograph one of the acts but while I was there wanted to portray the atmosphere through photography. This is how I got on…

Torbay Council receives a lot of negativity locally but this should be a prime example of doing something well and doing something right.

This event was well publicised and the result was thousands of people turning up. Let’s take a look at a few of the pics from the hour or so I was there. DJs from Riviera FM were hosting the main stage. A shout out to Adrian for sorting out my backstage pass and to Dave for helping Adrian on the day!

Sometimes at these types of events, everything is focused on the main stage. This was not the case here. There were plenty of things going on around the green. Different acts and entertainment. Even Batman, Spiderman, and Deadpool were there.

There were plenty of toilets and I didn’t see a queue while I was there. The food queues were long but there were plenty of options for all. The security was all around and I felt very safe.

Really, Torbay Council, hats off to you! That was an amazing event you put on. Top marks!

I went rather low-key for this one:

• Sony A7IV
• Sony 24-70 GM
• Sony 70-200 GM

There were other photographers there but they were mainly on 70-200’s. I used the 24-70mm more so I got different shots compared to them.
