Celebrating One Year of DaysDayOut: A Graffiti Tunnel Revisit

One year ago, I launched my YouTube channel, DaysDayOut, not knowing just how much it would grow in such a short time. Now, with almost 900 subscribers and more than 100 local riders in the Instagram group, the community around these 125cc (and increasingly bigger) bike ride-outs has become something truly special. As a theatre photographer, there are few moments as exhilarating as capturing the essence of a beloved production like Beauty and the Beast. Last Christmas, I had the extraordinary opportunity to photograph a dress rehearsal of this timeless tale at the Princess Theatre in Torquay, Devon. Stepping into the empty theatre, with anticipation buzzing in the air, I knew I was about to embark on a visual journey which would have me smiling all the way through.

What to do! Sony Camera, changing battery wiped photos (Sony A9, A7iii, A7iv). Rebuilding the database does NOT erase the photos!

I was halfway through a wedding day, the battery was getting low on one of my Sony A9’s. As I’ve done a thousand times, I turned off the camera, took the battery out, and put a new one in. This time, however, when I turned it on I had a black screen with a message saying something about rebuilding the database. You can’t stop it from happening and when it was done, my camera was saying there were no photos on the card. DO NOT PANIC, your photos are safe! This is what you need to do…
