Lorna and Ryan chose one of the most stunning spots in Torquay for their big day, the Osborne Hotel. Set above Meadfoot Bay with views across to Thatcher Rock, it was the perfect backdrop for a summer wedding. August delivered exactly what you’d hope for, a hot, warm day filled with blue skies and colour everywhere. The flowers lining the pathway down to the wooden marquee were bursting with life and made for a spectacular entrance to the ceremony.

Tim & Keeley – A Nethway Hotel Wedding in Torquay
Tim and Keeley tied the knot at the beautiful Nethway Hotel in Torquay, and I was lucky enough to be there to capture it all. As always, I arrived super early, using the time to photograph all the little details that make each wedding unique. I started with the reception room and the outdoor ceremony setup, then moved on to the flowers and all the finishing touches the couple had lovingly chosen.

Keith and Ann are one of those couples who exude kindness and warmth from the moment you meet them. They’re both very active members of Sacred Heart Church in Paignton, so it was only fitting that this beautiful, historic church was where they chose to say their vows in front of God, family, and friends. I was booked for my 5-hour photography package, which covered the arrival of guests, the ceremony at Sacred Heart, and the reception speeches at the Redcliffe Hotel just down the road.

Some wedding days go exactly to plan… and some hand you a soggy golf course and say, “Let’s see how creative you can be, then.”

When you work as a photographer, you get used to things changing last minute. Timings, locations, lighting conditions, it’s all part of the job. But every now and then, you get a shoot that starts as “just a quick two hours on a gentle fishing boat” and somehow turns into an unexpected 7-hour high-speed marine adventure. This was one of those days!

When people think of weddings, they often picture hundreds of guests, a packed dance floor, and a day that runs from sunrise to midnight. But there’s something truly special about a small wedding, especially one with as much heart, laughter, and love as Fi and Paul’s intimate day at Cockington Court.
Continue readingA Rainy, Beautiful Day: Wedding Photography at Cockington Court, Torquay
Weddings come with their own unique stories, and sometimes, a little rain just adds to the magic. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing an intimate ceremony at Cockington Court in Torquay, Devon. With only 20 guests, a stunning vintage Rolls Royce, and a whole lot of laughter despite the weather, it’s a wedding I won’t soon forget.
Continue readingCelebrating 60 Years of Horsepower: South Hams Motor Club’s Diamond Anniversary at Shilstone House
There’s something truly special about being part of a celebration that marks six decades of community, camaraderie, and a shared passion for all things fast and loud. On a spring evening in the rolling countryside of Modbury, the South Hams Motor Club gathered to celebrate its 60th anniversary, and I had the honour of capturing it all through my lens.
