Capturing Love at the Bickley Mill Inn: A Joyful Lesbian Wedding
There’s something special about photographing a wedding, but there’s an extra spark when it’s an intimate celebration like the one I recently had the pleasure of capturing this lovely couple. They chose the Bickley Mill Inn in Stoneycombe, Newton Abbot, a charming spot nestled in the Devon countryside. With only 25 of their nearest and dearest gathered, it felt like the sort of cozy affair where everyone knows everyone else’s name, and by the end, I think I did too!

When I was booked to photograph David and Violet’s wedding at the Toorak Hotel in Torquay, Devon, I knew it was going to be a memorable one. Not just because it’s always an honour to capture such an important day, but because it was going to be a little different than the usual wedding. Two ceremonies, an outdoor setting, and some last-minute surprises kept things lively from start to finish.
