The Torbay Party Barn is situated at the top of the Ring-Road. Out of season, the barn is used for housing livestock and if you happen to view the barn in the winter you may wonder what on earth you’re doing there. Do not worry, a number of weddings have been there now so you can get an idea of what the barn could be.

Having a wedding ceremony in a barn in Devon with views of Torbay offers a unique and creative setting. The rustic charm of the barn provides a cozy and earthy atmosphere, while the countryside views offer a wonderful backdrop. This combination of natural beauty and rural charm creates a one-of-a-kind wedding experience that will be cherished for a lifetime. The coastal setting also provides opportunities for incorporating nautical elements into the decor and theme of the wedding. Additionally, Devon is known for its rich history and cultural heritage, which can be incorporated into the ceremony to add a personal touch to the event.

There are clean and bright toilets, as well as a bar full of pretty much anything you could think of. The barn is thoroughly cleaned but there are a few small signs of its use, like an old pair of boots that are now a feature of the Barn.

The only real issue is that there isn’t really anywhere nice, or easy to get to, for the big group shots. There is, however, a nice spot for Bride and Groom shots, which Andrew, the owner, may be able to take you to!

The best thing about this venue is you can do whatever you want inside it. There’s also plenty of room outside for food trucks, hog roasts, ice-cream bikes and anything else you can think of. The band has nice and easy access too.

It isn’t very well signposted though. I do keep asking the owners for better signage but it would really help your guests if you could make signs from the turn-off at the ring-road, all the way to the venue. They will all thank you for this!
